Detailed Guide: Settings

The Settings screen is where you manage the basic settings that apply across the entire app: language, timezone, which celestial bodies to use, house system, degree display, aspect conditions, and color theme. What you save here is reflected across almost every screen in the app.

Note: Settings are saved only on this device and this browser (they are not sent to the server). They will not carry over to a different device, browser, or if your cache is cleared.

Overview of the settings screen
Settings screen: 8 sections arranged vertically

1. Display Language

You can choose from 7 languages: Japanese, English, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, French, and German. Selecting a language switches the on-screen text immediately (preview), and pressing “Save” confirms it and applies it across the entire app.

2. Default Timezone

You can select a default from major timezones around the world (the initial value is +09:00(JST)). This setting only affects the “initial timezone when creating a new chart.” It does not change the timezone of already-saved data in bulk.

3. Celestial Bodies Used

Set the default show/hide state of celestial bodies for each chart screen, using checkboxes grouped by category.

Group Items Default
10 Planets Sun through Pluto All ON
Nodes / Lilith North Node / South Node / Lilith North Node and Lilith are ON, South Node is OFF
Sensitive Points ASC・MC / Vertex / Part of Fortune / East Point Only East Point is OFF
Asteroids / Centaurs Chiron / Ceres / Pallas / Juno / Vesta Only Chiron is ON

The North Node and Lilith have a type dropdown next to their checkboxes.

Item Options Default
North Node type True / Mean True
Lilith type Natural / True / Mean Mean

Only these North Node / Lilith type dropdowns are saved automatically the moment you select them (unlike the other items, you do not need to press “Save”).

4. House System

Choose the default house cusp calculation method for each chart screen. You can choose from 10 systems: Placidus, Koch, Whole Sign, Equal, Porphyry, Regiomontanus, Campanus, Morinus, Solar House, and Solar Sign (the default is Placidus).

5. Degree Display / Aspects

Display Format

Choose whether degrees are displayed in degrees-minutes-seconds (°′″) or decimal (°) format (the default is degrees-minutes-seconds).

Aspect Conditions

Item Options Default
Aspect type Major only (0°/60°/90°/120°/180°) / All types (including minor) Major only
Out of sign Include / Exclude Include
Applying / Separating Show both / Applying only Show both
Aspect origin point Auto (as-is) / Center / Body-based Auto

6. Color Mode / Accent Color

When you choose Dark or Light in “Color Mode,” the theme of the entire screen is previewed immediately. This is linked to the theme button (🌙/🌤) in the upper right of the header, so operating either one updates both.

“Accent Color” is the highlight color used in dark mode. You can choose from Red (default), Orange, Pink, Green, Purple, or Custom. Selecting “Custom” lets you specify any color you like with a color picker (changing the color picker value automatically selects “Custom”).

7. Save / Restore Defaults

Button Action
Save Saves all the settings currently shown on screen at once. After saving, a “✓ Saved” notification is briefly displayed.
Restore Defaults After a confirmation dialog, resets all settings to their initial values and reflects this on screen immediately. However, this is not yet saved at this point — it is not confirmed until you press “Save” afterward.

Color mode, accent color, and display language are previewed on screen the moment you select them, but they are only actually confirmed (persisted) when you press the “Save” button (the exception is the North Node / Lilith type dropdowns, which are confirmed as soon as you select them).

8. Useful Specifications to Know

  • Applies to nearly every screen: Settings saved here are shared across most screens in the app, including the single, double, triple, and quintuple wheel charts, ephemeris, timing tables, void calendar, LIFELOG, declination graph, MP/HM, and analysis graphs.
  • Settings are per device: Since nothing is saved to the server, the same settings will not carry over to a different computer, smartphone, or browser. If needed, configure each device individually.
  • The default timezone only affects “new chart creation”: It does not change the timezone of already-saved charts in bulk.
