Detailed Guide: LIFELOG

LIFELOG is a screen where you create a “profile” for each person and record events related to that person in chronological order. From the profile list, you can open the cover (details) of the person you’re interested in, and manage the timeline (event list) linked to it, as well as the detailed notes, related people, and reference links for each event.

Prerequisite: LIFELOG data is stored in your browser (IndexedDB) and is not sent to the server. Please note that it will not carry over if you change browsers or computers. Creating a new profile or entering birth information is done on the input screen (top page), not on this screen.

1. Screen layout

Rather than switching between tabs, this is a structure where you move back and forth between two screens: “list” and “detail.” Clicking a profile card opens the detail view (cover), and “← Back to profile list” returns you to the list. Below the profile detail is the timeline (event list) linked to that profile, and clicking an event row opens and closes the detailed record panel in place.

2. Profile list: filtering and sorting

You can filter the list using category tabs (All / Self / Family / Client, plus any additional categories that have actually been registered). Sorting can be chosen from “most recently updated,” “by name,” or “by birth date.” There is no keyword text search.

There is a “+ Add” tab at the right end of the category tabs, but currently this only shows a notification message — the feature to actually add a category is not yet available.

3. Creating a new profile

Pressing the “+ Create a new profile” button at the top of the list takes you to the input screen (top page). The LIFELOG screen itself does not have a form for entering birth data. When you save birth data on the input screen, a corresponding profile is automatically created in LIFELOG.

4. Items you can edit in profile details

On the profile cover, the name, birth date/time, place, and latitude/longitude are display-only and cannot be changed from this screen. Only the following three items can be edited.

Item Operation
Title / short memo Enter text in the field; it is saved automatically when you click away.
Gender Choose from Male / Female / Neutral / Prefer not to answer; it is saved automatically the moment you choose.
Icon See the next section, “Setting an icon.”

If you want to correct birth information (name, date/time of birth, place), please edit it on the input screen (top page). Also, this screen does not have a button to delete the profile itself.

Pressing the “View natal chart” button on the cover opens the single chart screen using that profile’s birth data.

5. Setting an icon

Clicking the avatar image (or the “✎ Change icon” button in the profile detail) opens the icon settings panel.

Method Description
Choose an emoji Click to select from a grid of 72 emoji, including faces, people, animals, and zodiac symbols (saved instantly).
Choose an image Selecting an image file on your device automatically resizes and saves it.
Paste an image URL Enter a URL and press “Apply URL” to use that image as the icon.
Reset icon (clear) Clears the set image or emoji and reverts to the default icon for the category.

6. Timeline and adding events

The “Timeline” below the profile detail lists the events linked to that profile in order from newest to oldest. Pressing the “+ Create a new event” button takes you to the input screen, where you register the event’s date/time and other details (this screen itself does not have a form for entering new events).

Clicking the date/time portion of an event row opens a dual-wheel chart combining that profile’s natal chart with the event. The button at the right end of the row opens and closes the detailed record described next.

7. Detailed event records

Pressing the “Add details” button on an event row opens the detailed record panel in place (rows that already have a record can be opened and closed with “Open” / “Close”). The panel has three sections.

  1. Category and location: Displays the event’s category (with a colored dot) and, if registered, the location and latitude/longitude.
  2. Notes: A free-form text area. It is saved automatically when you click away.
  3. Related people / media: You can add related people (partners) and reference URL links.

Media links are added via the “Add URL link” button by entering a URL and an optional display name. Added links and related people can each be removed individually with their respective × buttons (there is no button to delete the note itself or the event itself).

8. Linking a partner (related profile)

Pressing the “Add partner” button in the detail panel switches the screen to the list view and displays a guidance bar. In this state, clicking a profile card links that profile as a “partner” and automatically returns you to the original panel. Pressing “Cancel” returns you without adding anything.

The “Create new” button on the guidance bar is meant to register a new partner on the spot, but currently it only shows a notification message and is not yet usable. If you want to register someone as a partner, please create their profile first using “+ Create a new profile.”

9. Specifications worth knowing

  • Data is stored only in the browser: LIFELOG data is stored only on this device and in this browser (it is not sent to the server). It does not carry over to a different device or browser.
  • There is no delete button: There is currently no feature to delete a profile, an event, or a note itself. The only things you can undo are “unlinking a partner” and “deleting a media link.”
  • Edit birth data on the input screen: If you want to change the name, date/time of birth, or place, please edit it on the input screen on the top page.
  • Save result notifications: When you change the title, gender, icon, etc., a notification saying “Saved” (or an error in red text if it fails) is displayed at the bottom of the screen for a few seconds.
